Join us on May 22nd for Sunday FUNday Festival!

The Big Give

This month we are actively seeking to meet our Stewards Fund Challenge:  if we raise $24,000, our generous friends at the Stewards Fund will gift us with an additional $24,000!   We are currently at 35% of goal, which is wonderful but we need a great big push if we’re going to make it to 100%!

There are two big incentives this month to make your giving even more gratifying:

  1.  The Indyweek Give!Guide is out, and Kidznotes has been selected as one of indyweek-giveguide
their Top 44 Triangle Charities.  What does that mean?  Every Tuesday of this month, when you make a gift to Kidznotes through the Give!Guide,  you will be entered to win prizes of your own!  The prizes include a $500 Gift Card to Diamonds Direct, a stay at the Franklin Hotel, tickets for the Durham Bulls Season opener and much more.  See the full list here.  Giving was never so much fun, right?
  2. You know all about Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, when all the stores open crazy hours and ramped up shoppers battle over deals.  It’s retail mayhem, but our country has come up with the perfect antidote in #GivingTuesday, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, 11/29.  This day is all about the true meaning of the Holidays:  Giving.  And not just stuff.  We’ve heard of folks who commit to making charitable gifts on #GivingTuesday that equal 20% of what they spend on Black Friday.   Imagine if everyone did that; we would be able to provide more instruments, teacher resources, and generally serve so many more children.  This is a social media holiday, so when you give, tag us and use the hashtag #GivingTuesday so that we can share our gratitude!

You might choose to combine these two incentives and make your gift on #GivingTuesday THROUGH the IndyWeek Give!Guide.

Consider making your gift in the name of a child you love who enjoys music!  What a beautiful way to teach that child to think of others and to serve their local community during this season of conspicuous consumption.

When giving to Kidznotes in November or December:

Mark your calendars and please plan to give today, next Tuesday, or on #GivingTuesday so that we can reach our Stewards Fund Challenge and help even more kids in Raleigh and Durham discover the joy and discipline of orchestral music.
