Ms. Armfield is a Durham native who graduated from Northern High School in 2019.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education with a concentration in voice and choral education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2023.  She was awarded summa cum laude, the highest academic honor one can receive upon graduation.  Her primary instruments are voice and guitar.  Additionally, Ms. Armfield is a Sigma Alpha Iota Alumna.  Sigma Alpha Iota is an international music fraternity with a mission to encourage, nurture, and support the art of music.  She is also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international honors society for key women educators.

Along with being a Teaching Artist, Ms. Armfield is currently the music teacher at Fayetteville Street Elementary School in Durham.  Outside of having a passion for music education and the arts, Ms. Armfield enjoys taking care of her cat named Raider, and spending quality time with her family and friends.  She is over the moon excited to continue her first year of teaching in the county she grew up in, and to be a Teaching Artist with Kidznotes
