Cheryl Ann Welsh
Director of Finance & Operations
Alongside every successful artist is a partner specializing in organizational and foundational excellence. As Director of Finance & Operations, Cheryl Ann Welsh (she/her) is that partner for Kidznotes.
A tried-and-true Bull City native, Cheryl Ann has cultivated a solid operational leadership portfolio and background in nonprofit and creative management, including areas such as operations, finance, events, and development. Her experience and expertise in both grassroots and national levels, along with her ability to develop and operationalize organization-wide strategy, were developed in a variety of roles and organizations: Associate Executive Director at the Foundation of Hope, Director of Operations at Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast, Project Manager at Public Broadcasting Service, Special Programs Manager for Rosie O’Donnell’s KidRo Productions, and Deputy Director of the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Council for the Democratic National Committee.
Cheryl Ann holds a sweet spot in her heart for the community. When she’s not spending time with her wife and pup at home in their beloved garden in Durham, Cheryl Ann contributes her time and talent by serving on local boards of directors and, most recently, with the Crayons2Calculators and Durham County Women’s Commission and Precinct Official with Durham County Board of Elections.
